Many of Belden’s copper and fiber cables are CPR rated and comply with the standards implemented by the European Commission (EC).
CPR assesses the safety and performance of each cable when exposed to fire. To determine the Euroclass rating, several types of testing are conducted. All CPR applicable products require a Euroclass rating, CE marking and Declaration of Performance. UKCA (UK Conformity Assessment) CPR marking is the certification mark required for certain products sold within Great Britain (England, Wales and Scotland). This is a new requirement that became part of the UK law. It covers most products that previously required CE marking. The UKCA mark came into effect on January 1st 2021
